link? Are you talking about the G&G green bucking? because that's not silicone.

There's a difference between a person who has a screwdriver and a person who knows what they are doing.

aren't they all made out of it?

I have found many of G&G listings to state this exact phrase: Adjustable Hop-Up with silicone bucking

Well, if you have a so called "G&G silicone bucking" sacrifice it for science; spray some silicone spray on it and if it expands, it's silicone.

Ok so i bouth this gun (magpul masada acr) off a friend and i wanted to upgrade the spring on the gun.
Right now its chrono'd at 380.
But i wanted o swap out that spring for a Prometheus Non-Liner Irragular Pitch Airsoft AEG Upgrade Spring (M170 / 550~700 FPS)
I was wondering if i could do so without swapping out the stock motor...
Or if it gives you a better undesrstanding of what im trying to figure out i'll put it this way
Would my gun take a shit if i swap those 2 springs

No, you absolutely cannot run an M170 on the stock components.

Airsoft guns are not plug and play, they require a mix of the right parts to run well. The Masada is not designed to run an M170 spring, and you would, at a MINIMUM, need a new motor, new gearset, and possibly new piston to run that spring. You'd also need a very large battery.

I would not recommend using that spring in that gun.

Most events hosted on or posted on AP are 400FPS for full auto. If you play with friends locally you can use whatever limits you like, but it will be extremely difficult to make the Masada reliably shoot anything over 500 or so. It will be expensive to make it reliably shoot anything over 440FPS.

It also has been noted that ACR gearboxes have a tendency to crack if pushed over about 420 FPS. This has been stated to be caused by a bad batch of gearbox shells, but it has been reported sporadically in other cases.
I'm a major chairsofter, sorry about that.
