Star M249

Postby Jester316 » Sun Dec 05, 2010 11:57 pm

There is a Star M249 that is floating around the community. I think it's had at least 8 owners so far, and I was wondering where it is now/who has possessed it. This is the gun that was used in the review here: http://www.airsoftpacific.com/content.php?page=41

Here is what I know:

Variable (original owner)
Ivan
Cypher
Jester316
Aeono
Pulsipher
Tyrant

Can anyone else fill in the lineage?

I can tell you with 99% positivity that I am the current owner of this gun. There is a faint "OITA" written on it, which is the biggest clue. I received it from Pulsipher, and regret to inform you that it has pass on. Its life force has since been absorbed by an A&K M249, and now, only parts remain.

The stock, the box mag, and gearbox are all in perfect shape.....everything else....isn't. Many of the parts that were needed are IMPOSSIBLE to get off of the gun, if you don't snap a few things off. Well, things were snapped. By snapped, I mean spun incredibly fast off of a balcony onto a gravel driveway. (No, I didn't spin throw a SAW off of said balcony in a populated town. It was done at a house out in the boonies with zero neighbors.)

HUGE NECRO!!!!!!!

I had heard a rumor that this gun was back in the hands of Ivan... Any validity to this? This thing is almost a legend now...

Not likely, unless it's just the gearbox. I sold that bit to Milwe5 at the santas war the year of this original post. What he did with it, I have no idea. The rest of the parts were absorbed into another gun or trashed. Its body is dead, but its heart may yet live in another.

I wonder if that gearbox is in his A&K 249... That would be awesome...

I don't have any part of that gun anymore. That gearbox I put in it was a brick. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still kicking. If anyone knows where the stock is I'd love to get my hands on it.
