In the parameters you set the best I got was a Classic Army SLR-105 Compact. Aside from fixing it when the internals rusted from being left out one night in the rain it's still running strong.

Normally they retail around $350 but I got it from Craigslist for $200. :D

The best rifle I've ever owned was NOT an AEG, but it was a bolt.

A spring powered bolt, the greatest thing ever.

http://www.airsplat.com/Items/AR-UA-314.htm

It was so good, I could hit squirrels in the tail from over 200 feet with bone stock internals and everything.

I never had to deal with a single thing internally because it was spring.

Mine came out of the box shooting about 340, so I was easily able to use it indoors and be the sniper for my team.

I recommend you buy one, because AEGs are stupid.

TM AK. 9 years old and still shoots reliably.
My Cyma AK74u was also awesome. Shouldn't have sold it.

Classic Army G36C. $275 (prob less now if you can find it new). No picture handy.
I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon

when you play nancy airsoft where there are engagement range limits and max fps limits, than no it doesnt hurt. But if you play real mans airsoft with no minimum engagement distances, and fps limits. Then it starts to get painful.....and more fun.

inb4 the safety lectures and "is it still fun when....." comments.

as for best one for me, i would say the KWA KG36C, 265 new. Pretty solid gun, shoots fast, and straight. Wasnt a big fan of the exterior quality though. Felt like an upgraded JG to be honest. Which isnt bad, but it wasnt worth the extra 150 bucks.
