M4 Long Barrel

Postby Screach » Wed Apr 17, 2013 3:00 pm

Hello I'm working on an SR25 build, and was wondering if anyone knows of a manufacturer who makes a one piece 24" outer barrel for the M4. Thanks!

I found a lot of high quality 20" barrels, but the only 24" outers I found were sectional.

Ya I saw those too, I think I'll go with the Daniels government profile 20", and then attach silencer to be able to acomadate a 650mm inner barrel.

M4=/=SR25

They are a different caliber, and to use an M4 and call it an SR25 will cause mass hysterics at your lack of understanding...

Just buy an SR25.

Supposedly pistons or cylinders are tuned according to the length of a gun's barrel. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm the osiris of this.

The M.S.S.R. is the 5.56 sniper rifle. (Marine Scout Sniper Rifle) It is based on the M16. see link.

I too have toyed with the idea of a M4 sniper build. I am considering the G&G M4 carbine GBBR with a full size stock, long Mock suppressor and tight bore barrel . This total build should run in the low/mid $200.00 plus optics and extra mags.

Not so great for cold weather but....

That's nice...

He stated he was working on an SR25 build in the main post. Not a Phillipean scout rifle...

I am upswing an A&K sr25 that, which uses regular m4 outer barrels. In the end I would like it to look somewhat like this...

As soon as you pointed that out, I started choking on rice.

Your DMR threads:

Your DMR pictures/evidence of building these guns:
Nothing.

A lot of these DMR questions are answered in depth in past topics; you'd get more info by using the advanced search functions. And if you don't plan on building anything, which is fine, then it might serve you better to do all this fact finding through searching the older posts.

I'd love to see some progress pictures/performance testing when you've got the gun and have started building. It's nice to see "this is my build" threads with real pictures and data, but not as nice to see the same questions asked perpetually with the quality of answers degrading as the knowledge gets over-tapped.
