Creating a semi-only gearbox

This is going to be a bit of a tough one to answer, I think.

I'm looking into getting a King Arms SVD, and the one gripe I have with it is that it shoots full auto, which is an insult to the motherland. I'm fairly certain that it is possible to lock a gearbox on semi, but I am unsure how.

jerry rig the selector plate, or make it impossible for it to go into the full auto position, or get a mosfet that allows you to control fire mode, like the burst wizard.

for the v3gb, you can also trim part of the selector plate and it will stop the cut-off lever from being pushed off of the cut-off cam on the sector gear. if you run the selector back and forth you can see what part needs to be trimmed.
