H nub questions

Postby Alien_Hunter » Thu Sep 12, 2013 8:23 pm

Hi I just ordered the Angel Custom H nubs from Evike. One is wider than the other. What is the purpose? Which is better for a gun shooting .25s at 300-350 fps?

The larger nub is used for lower velocities. The thinner nub is used for higher FPS guns. You could try both, but I would experiment with the larger one with how hard your gun shoots.

Cooool. I bought a 500mm tb so I hopefully I'll get some good groupings at 150'.

What weight should I choose for the bb's? The FPS with a .2 is 400, but will be higher with a tight bore and the longer barrel.
.3 gram?

FPS is measured with .20g at most events, so if it's higher with a tightbore and longer barrel, it may exceed limits at fields that limit to 400. You can't simply choose a heavier BB to lower your FPS and beat the chronograph, that's not how it works. Heavier BBs have more kinetic energy, to FPS limits change with weight.

That is not why I was asking. I am asking because I want to maximize the accuracy by selecting the proper weight for bb's. The gun will probably be shooting at 450+ fps after my modifications. Yes, I will most likely end up installing an m100 or m110 spring. Don't assume I'm trying to beat the system though, this is the first gun I've ever had that I am upgrading :) .
