LMG conversion

Hey everyone who reads this, I'm new to forums and such so bare with me here!

I'm looking to convert my ICS sig 551 into more of an LMG type gun
I have all the external components figured out, I just need help figuring out internals and barrel length for it. mainly barrel length for right now

Is there a noticeable difference between a 509mm 6.03 and a 650mm 6.03?

What are you converting the externals to look like? Many games won't let you use box magazines on non-support weapons...

509mm will be fine for a barrel. You don't want a support weapon to be pin point accurate at 250ft. You want area supression. Put a short wide barrel on it. Mix weights of bb's in the magazine. The purpose of a support gun is to keep heads pinned down while your teammates move in for the kill.

I wasn't very clear sorry, I want to be able to switch between a support gunner and an a regular assault gunner so kinda like the best of both worlds type of thing, I'm not really sure how to describe it right now
