416 vs M27

Postby AlecBeach » Sun Jul 22, 2018 1:15 pm

I love the HK416 but I am also looking towards the M27 just because it counts as an IAR (Infantry Automatic Rifle) and can be used on full auto at some fields.
But the 416 is much lighter and easier in case I run into a CQC situation.
What would you guys recommend?

Both are 416's. One has a carbine length barrel and the other has a rifle length barrel. Only 200ish grams difference between the two. So ask yourself if weight is a consideration. Both are coming out with improved internals later this year so be patient and get a sweet airsoft gun.
I'm a major chairsofter, sorry about that.

The M27 is better for outdoor games. The 416 is best for CQB and midrange

Differences between the USMC spec'd M27 IAR and the HK416 and its compatibility with aftermarket magazines. First, there's a little confusion about the IAR variant being considerably different than the HK416. As you'll see, the differences are minimal. There's no heavier barrel and the internals are identical to the HK416D.

I'd go for 416, since it's airsoft inner barrel length doesn't matter too much. The couple of inches that the m27 gives you won't matter. I have a 416 that I love.

I'd go 416 as it gives you the option to build outward for more range. The 417 you're kinda stuck with the bulk

That model is sold out. VFC is releasing a new model hopefully soon. It will have upgraded internals, well that's the rumor anyways. The new 416 model will have a two piece barrel which allows you to pick between two popular barrel lengths.

I'd go 416 has an adjustable multi-position telescopic butt stock, offering six different lengths of pull.
