Can this be a sniper?

Postby American10 » Sun Aug 08, 2010 2:01 am

Can a KART m14 be a sniper rifle? On some sites it says it is, and it shoots as far as one. Not as hard as one but i could upgrade it with a new spring as a good semi auto sniper? I just wanted to see if you guys could see this gun being a sniper.

use it as a DMR or just as an assault rifle.

its an m14, M14's are usually DMR's, but if u put a tightbore in it and a scope, and make it semi auto only, then i guess it would be an M21 sniper rifle.

Is it bolt action? Oh, what's that? It's semi auto?

No.

just because its semi-automatic, doesnt mean it cant be a sniper rifle.

ex.- most Barretts, M21, M110 SAS, AI AS50, PSG-1, etc.

I used to own one of those .... theyre like 15lbs and the rails are cast alluminum, so they actually bend if you put a crappy UTG bi-pod on them.
honestly, i like the regular m14's better. The EBR stock is just not worth the extra weight.

If you mean passing off the 550 fps with an m14, then probably not on most fields. I would be worried about rof with how fast you could hit the trigger, in fact the bolt actions with a really short bolt i still worry about if they are high fps, and i try to avoid them on the field. Bolt's seem to be getting shorter and shorter, and sniper platforms lighter. /end rant. i need cookies.

Nope. Only a person can be a sniper.

actualy I think they make sniper drones that do all the calculations and take out people from extreme distances, but I'm not sure if they're still called snipers. Also, I immediately pictured mounting an M14 on one of those mine clearing drones that have the shotgun attachment. I'd say pick up that for an ausault rifle if you want it, or get a bolt platform for sniping
forgive my ignorance, it happens to everyone.

My friend owns that gun, don't even think about it. If you want a sniper get an actual spring or gas sniper rifle. This gun is very weak to start with and runs out of batteries quickly. Upgrading would be expensive and not achieve the results you want. You are better off just getting a sniper rifle.

Buy my friend's G&G M14 EBR! Now THAT is a rifle you will remember, and it's hella higher quality.

Well he almost had it, however 2/3 times he used the word "sniper" it was not followed by rifle. So close!
