First Sniper Rifle

Postby Nongan » Sat Jan 01, 2011 10:44 pm

So I finally made the big switch I have been waiting for. I traded my Echo1 MOD 15 for a KJW M700. I haven't had time to field it yet, but I have had a couple of target sessions with it and really enjoy the weapon system, It hits center every time so far. I have a center point 3-9x scope with red and green illumination. I was wondering what kind of maintenance do I have to do that is special to sniper rifles vs AEGs

i am not sure if the former posters have ever even owned a KJW M700.

i have.

stock barrel is a issue, get a tightbore.

the hop up unit is very inconsistant, you will need to make your own custom hop up nub.

tighten, but do not over torque all screws.

i dont think i have ever done a barrel swab on any of my replicas. ever.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

morgan. this wad one of my m700. the barrel is stock but i made sure there is no tension on the inner barrel. the hop up rubber and nub is not stock. at this point i would recommend s tbb and a metal hop up. And of course a cool paint job....

You'd be well served to "free float" the barrel...and of course, figure out how to build an HPA set up.
