CA M24 Hop-up problem

Postby regulators » Thu Jan 06, 2011 5:22 am

So On my M24 hop-up it got a little damaged, well not the hop-up the set screw for the hop-up to keep it in place. it got pushed forward and bent. so I re tapped it to a little bigger screw. but it moves forward still. and then it makes my clip hard to get out. and I have to take it apart and push it back and tighten the screw. was wondering if anyone had any ideas how i could fix this? sorry if i missed spelled words im on my lunch break and im a hurry sorry but any help would be nice thanks.

Ok lets do this post right now that I'm not at work.

So here is what is going on. My hop-up in my M24 moves forward slightly every like around 20 or so shots. Yes, I have a new one in there it is a PDI brand new. It is not the hop-up it is the set screw that hold the hop-up in place. It got bent by someone who wasn't using the replica right. By bent I mean it got pushed forward (the set screw not the old hop-up). So I re tapped the set screw to a larger one. Now the samething is happening with the new set screw. I do have a 380% spring in it which I will be going down to the 300% spring.

get a new hop up unit. If you bent it, then it probably should be replaced.

The hop up on the CA 249 series has been known as kind of finicky. A good opportunity to replace it with something less temperamental.
