Bucking!

Postby MagicMarker » Sat Jan 29, 2011 7:59 pm

Why? why is there a little bump on the inside of buckings? Does no one in production of a good bucking realize that it gives you OPPOSITE of ideal BB/bucking contact?

My real question is can it be dremeled down? Smoothly? to make a better contact? Has anyone done it? Or maybe is there a bucking out there that has no bump?

I am using a Tanaka M40A1 with nine ball bucking in my VSR chamber (KA chamber conversion)

IIRC, nineball has a two "prong" design to give contact on either side of the BB, similar to the 10 and 2 position. However if your nub is also this design, it will actually force them inward and render the bucking funky. Check your nub, or whatever mechanism it is on the M40A1 that pushes on your bucking. I know I faced this issue with my old KJW. The nub should look like /\ not like \/, or like l l.
