For the L96, you must drill the hole in the 'flash hider' bigger for the barrel to fit; a 21/64 drill bit does the job perfectly. As for the barrel, some of the 509mm barrels have incorrectly cut hop-up holes... but any barrel is better than the stock barrel.

The Masamune barrels sold at ASGI are nearly perfectly cut stainless steel. Very high quality for the price. If you don't have the money for a high-end barrel, then these are great upgrades, and possibly better than the more expensive ones.

One more thing about the barrels... sort of...
Don't use bad ammo with a 6.01, like Goldenball, or some off brand... Use something like Airsoft Elite, Javelin, or even Airsplat ammo (which is surprisingly good, considering the price).
I have only heard good things about Riddick's ammo, so you may also want to "shoot him a PM"...

I'd roll with a Prommy soft/hard (depending on your velocity). I use those exclusively and they haven't failed me yet

But why spend that much money one the barrel only to spend more money on a mock silencer?
Granted, PDI will be better than Masamune, but the latter is considerably cheaper.
