L96 locking problem

I recently installed an APS2 cylinder into my G-22, and now my gun will sporadically lock back, but most of the time it simply doesn't lock, allowing the spring to decompress as the bolt slides back forward.

It just wont cock. Every once in a while, I will be able to fire three or four shots before it starts acting up again.

I have seen this topic on some other forums, but no actual helpful information was given to the other victims. Nearly nothing on the gun is stock.

Are the trigger mechanism screws tight (the ones that hold the trigger mech to the gun). I've had this issue with my VSR-10 and tightening the screws solved the issue.

Yeah they are as tight as they go without stripping them. If that is the problem, i could shave down the part of the receiver where it connects... Would that help?
