KJW KC-02

Discussion about sniper rifles or bolt-action.

KJW KC-02

Postby Kommodant » Wed Nov 23, 2011 6:58 pm

So I was looking around and I came across the KJW KC-02. It peaked my interest and I read and watched some reviews. After that I looked on this forum and found a dead thread that some people were discussing its uses. I have a few questions about this rifle;

1)Would it be a good sniper rifle or a DMR? the fps made me think of this.
2)Should it be used with the recommended .20g bbs or should it be used with a heavier bb?

A use I though about would be for night games where all guns are limited to semi.

I've read that some people have used .40 matrix ammo and are dead on at 50ft

Isn't 60 feet the usual safty kill range for bolts?

40-60 depending on the host but this is a semi-auto not a bolt.

This looks like a fairly ineffective gun on the field. the rounds in the mag is very low and the fps isn't high enough to justify running as a DMR.

I'd rather get a regular M16 like a KWA that will shoot >400 out of the box but you can use real mags and get good rps.

Oh look here is one that will best that gun in every way:

To answer your question:

1) neither. maybe shooting targets in the backyard. fps too low for DMR/Sniper. RPS too low for assault.
2) use of .25 is close enough to optimal for that fps. Riddick has some great .28 bio that I'd recommend.

This thread should be in the gas forum too. its not a sniper or bolt action.

It looks goofy, but it would be fun as hell. Volume of fire != accuracy. A nice barrel, learning to shoot, and you will have a lot of fun with that little guy. It fits well into Opforthwin LLC's DMR rules. Just have the usual gas issues (cold weather).

Realism?

Postby EnarahRovaaniik » Mon Jan 23, 2012 8:20 pm

Well, the gun is based off of a Ruger 10/22. If you're going for realism, who the hell would use a .22 in a battle? :?
