Difference between Matrix vs. A&K SVD's

Postby Cloudyrains » Thu Dec 22, 2011 11:29 pm

Hey guys, I'm planning on getting a bolt SVD. I've been looking around, and it seems like there are 2 options. The A&K or the Matrix. I've seen A&K's on the field before, and gotten to play around with one a little, but I have never seen a matrix one before. Bluntly put, which one do you think is better?

*EDIT* literally just traded for an A&K SVD seconds ago and found out the matrix and the A&K are the same. Mods please delete this thread :)

matrix and A&K redesigned the 1st gen SVD and came out with the 2nd gen

the SVD II is a joint project between Matrix and A&K to bring you a re-designed reinforced model of the A&K SVD.

I agree, it's just Evike's rebrand from what I know.

i owned a A&K.

the bolt was very hard to pull back. and the front end had alot, and i mean ALOT of barrel wobble.

the matrix/A&K gen model has fixxed these issues and supposedly redesigned some weak tabs that held the piston assembly in place.

also there was a issue of the mags dropping free, because they did not propperly seat in a tight fitting seal. now apperantly they have corrected this issue also.

albiet that i have not seen the new one up close and personal, i can assure you the listed issues needed to get fixed. glad they did

thats all i got.

They did not fix the barrel wobble, I have a second gen and the barrel still wobbles, but all other problems are fixed
Be courageous. I have seen many depressions in business. Always America has emerged from these stronger and more prosperous. Be brave as your fathers before you. Have faith! Go forward!
