Each bolt action rifle is different. You'll need to find what your's shoots best. MY rifle shoots .40's absolutely amazing. It also likes .43's, but I don't get as much range with them. I am slowly working my way through some AONW (Airsoft Outlet North West) .40's.

It would probably vary with fps, hop-up and your barrel?
Pretty sure heavier bb's come in smaller amounts you could buy a few different weights and take her out in the backyard. Probably easiest way too figure out what's best.

MY 98K loved .43s (still does, its just not mine anymore).

Both of the KJW M700's i've owned do great with .40s and .43s.

I used madbull .36s in my SR12 DMR. They were "there" for me. Though I have heard complaints about madbull BBs having air bubbles.
I think airsoft GI has their own BBs as well. Not sure if they are re-branded Madbull BBs or what.

Come to think about it, and pretty sure all the heavy weight BBs are the same maker just re-branded and sold by different distributors.. I am probably wrong.
