I've been told on multiple occasions, "That it's the quietest AEG I've ever heard."

I should have never sold that gun....

:(

Don't worry, it's still in good hands. ;)

Haha! Glad it's still around here and working!

Yah ever want to sell it let me know cuz I'll buy that back in a heartbeat :D

Heh, I'll put you on the top of the list if I ever decide to get rid of it.

No offense, but I can't see myself doing that in the near future, haha.
It's a great subgun.

Plans for a stealth AEG:
Helical Gears
Quietest motor you can find (consider sourcing a brushless motor, perhaps? I assume it would slightly cut down in noise... anyone confirm or deny this?)
silent piston set
Foam filled suppressor
good shim job and motor adjustment
Sound dampening strips on some interior areas of the gun.

Bullpups like the p90 and F2000 have lots of space around the gearbox (by comparison to other guns) as well as polymer bodies. These both help with noise suppression.

This particular bit of gun nuttery always makes me laugh. Sure, it's more technically accurate, as far as capabilities, but check out this flyer. It's from the inventor of the first silencer, Hiram Maxim (son of the inventor of the Maxim gun).

So yeah, calling it a silencer has a *slight* bit of historical precedence. To the point of silencer being the original name.

Anyway, airsoft silencers are best on guns that don't have moving parts (like how in real life a Welrod pistol is quieter than an MP5SD). The most infamous for these are gas NBB pistols and rifles, which can be made absurdly quiet. LiberalPacifist's KJW Mk 1 carbine is quiet enough that people don't believe it's actually being shot unless they see the BB or it's cold enough for the gas to make a visible cloud at the muzzle. It has a custom silencer fitted over the barrel that's made with a PVC pipe. TM/Y&P MK 23s are also very quiet with foam, although due to the design of the silencer the TM is easier to make quieter.

I have seen a few guys with WE TECH M14 EBR kits with silencers on them. Whether they had foam in them or not I do not know. Id assume so. They actually made a big difference because of the gas discharge venting from the action and the end of the barrel. Only made a real difference on the with the Sniper nozzle installed on the M14s. Still was pretty cool for a quiet gas DMR. I liked it :)
