It doesn't serve any purpose that I've seen, having used an APS2 platform. Just makes the magazines kind of a tool when it comes time to put them in a pistol magazine pouch.


if you are talking about the spring loaded top portion of the APS2 magazines, its supposed to keep the mag under tension so it pops out of the rifle easier when the mag is released. didn't always work though.

ok, I get it now. Thanks everyone
at first I thought shooting people with BB guns was violent, cruel, and demeening to the loser.
I later found out that it is all of that and much more.
