SOCOM Gear CHEYTAC M200

Postby xEdgecrusheRx » Fri Dec 14, 2012 10:08 pm

I just bought a mystery box from Airsoftgi. What I got was the SOCOM M200. Score? Or "d'oh!"? First it shoots approx 300 fps with a heavier-than-.2g bb that is larger(8mm). This gun retails for around 1200 bucks so I cant help but be pleased; however, there's a lot to consider when trying to use a gun like this. Shells can be lost, people are intimidated by 8mm bb's(or so that is what I have encountered), and it has a range that's questionable.

Should I keep it or sell it. If so what is a fair price to ask? Not many people have the cash to drop on a new one so I think 900 is fair.

Suggestions?

If you can see yourself being in a sniper role, keep it. However if not then sell/trade it. You might find some people who are willing to trade 2-4 AEGs for it. I would say around $900 would be more than fair since it's brand new.

Definitely a score on that one. Hell, i would trade an lmg and a couple nice m4's for it. That is a unique gun that nobody else will have.

or $20 and i'll pay shipping :P

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty

I'd throw it on eBay. Even if you're going to be a sniper, you could build a good rifle and have a nice AEG backup for the money that's worth. If eBay fails, there's AP, Airsoft Ohio, etc.

Congrats on your awesome luck, though!

I personaly, if you dont wanna be a sniper with it, would offer it to the AP community first....local and all that. Then go either E-bay or take trades.

actually i am all for local trade, but it would have to be something damn spiffy. I am an owner of a field down here in klamath so i might actually keep the trades for rentals etc. or perhaps a raffel. what do you guys think?
