Kenwood PTT and Proxgramming Wouxon Radio

Postby CommieHunter » Fri Aug 10, 2012 1:13 pm

Two questions:

ONE: Does anyone have a working PTT adapter that is compatible with Kenwood radios? I'll be using it in a Wouxon, but I believe they're compatible.

TWO: Is there anyone that can program a Wouxon radio for me? I'd like to have it done before the end of next week, if possible.

Check your PM's. Heck, I'll try reaching you via the BookFace.

I too have the ability to program if needed, let me know if you are still in a bind. I only have the one Peltor PTT so I can't help there but any Kenwood two plug will work ok. I have heard of a Z-Tactical or the like being modified to work also. Worst case you can pick up an earbud rig at HRO in Tigard

Pacman, do you know if it is just the z tactical ones that can be switched over. I need a ptt for my sordins and radio but can't afford a real one at the moment.

Just about any headset can be switched over by rewiring the rub is if your Sordins are military or knock offs. The military issue utilize a different impendence which even if rewired properly will not function properly with civilian equipment. If your using an airsoft or civilian PTT and Chinese Sordins it's just a matter of rewiring and your good to go.
