Wetech SCAR problems (video)

Postby icebullet » Mon Jun 20, 2011 3:23 pm

Hey Guys, I'm having some issues with my WETECH Scar.

I got this thing for my birthday, so don't judge.

I've run quite a few mags through this thing, and it works well. But I've run into a few problems. The gun only shoots if I hold the mag in. I do that on the second round.

I'm sorry for a kinda crappy video. It does get the point across.

Any ideas? Solutions?

Call the surgeons and tell them to take the day off, because I'll be doing all the operating now.

Well, first of all this is an excellent gun IMO, loads of fun :) However, it is not for the mechanically challenged. I would say take it apart (all the way) and see if you can figure out how it should work, and how that is different from how it is working. Your video doesn't really show your problem, how about pictures of the inside showing the top of the trigger assembly and the mag well. If you are feeling up to taking the trigger apart, that is where I've seen all of the issues with mine. You live anywhere near beaverton? I would be willing to show you how to take it down and explain the workings to you, or show you with my own if you are uncomfortable taking yours apart.

I have to say that I quite love my own. But, it is more high mainainace than my girlfriend I will admit. If your competent enough to take it apart and replace the pot metal trigger parts then it is extremely fun to shoot.

Are you shooting it with bbs loaded in the magazine? Or is the the same either way?

Hey guys, sorry I haven't gotten back to you for some time. I was at my uncle's house for the past week. Wasn't able to get on.

Airsoft Outlet fixed it some weeks ago, for some 20 dollars.

Thanks for the help though. :)

Now, here she sits in all her glory~ G&P flashlight/Magpul goodies.
