What MP5 do you recommend?

Postby victor.hernandez » Tue Apr 10, 2012 9:04 pm

Around $150? I really like this one (design), but it had really bad reviews. The same foregrip, stock, and color. What one do you recommend?

The Umarex MP5 I like:

No... Just No. You can do better.
Echo 1 would be a good choice since it seems like you are just getting into the sport.
Top mattress, Left cargo pocket. Ready... Move!

Classic Army. Metal body CYMA/Echo1 if you want the cheaper route.

Dual power?

EDIT: I think the CAs are about $100 over his price range.

He's not asking about M4s.

You never hear of much trouble coming from MP5s, almost regardless of brand. I've seen and handled great ones made by TM, CA, Echo 1, and JG. It's a pretty solid bet, AEG-wise, to get an MP5 and a ton of mags for it. You won't get the most accurate or longest-ranged performance on the field, but it definitely won't suck.

From what I read, it looks like when the batteries goes out, you can use it like a spring-powered single-shot.

Ew.

I'm told the JGs are reasonably decent for a starter MP5. I really miss my little ICS MP5, but not everyone is such a fan.
