WE F226 - Worth it?

Postby Cameron Zombie » Thu Jan 10, 2013 12:48 pm

After doing some research, it appears that WE has been stepping up their game in the GBB department. Their new line of pistols seems to have the consistency, recoil, and accuracy that their earlier guns have been lacking. The finish looks great and sturdy. So my question to you folks is: Has anyone had any experience with the new line (F226, M&P, etc.) and if so, how has it held up? Would it be worth it to look into?

It's a solid buy. Shoots around 300 FPS and costs less than the KJW and KWA. I've sold many of them to my customers and a few friends and they enjoyed them alot and they've helped up so far to the best of my knowledge.

AONW had a write up about all 3 but it cannot be found on the website (after the recent update)

I've heard it's worth it to go ahead and by the TM or KWA if you can.

Thanks for the quick answers guys. I saw that many people have parts busting in their M226's and I would probably just turn the TM into a money pit. So now it's just a toss-up between the two, leaning towards the WE just for ease of accessibility.

Now, would a railed P226 fit in a Serpa? I wouldn't be opposed to a Fobus either, but once again, ease of accessibility...

I can't speak for the WE P226, but my KWA, TM and KJW P226s are all railed and fit in my serpra just fine, so chances are the WE would as well.

It fits in my cqc serpa replica just require some lube around the locking mechanism. The WE 226 is a decent gun for the price, but the finish can't compare with the TM or KSC versions simply can tell by the 2 tone colors between the slide and the lower.
I bought 2 spare mags from evike but they were all leak :(

Finish is easy enough to fix, we have this wonderful thing called paint now. You may have heard of it.

Yes, but I've also heard of this thing called kydex, and I don't feel like having to repaint the slide every game.

Sounds good, may as well check it out. Worse case scenario, I get a brand new paper weight :)

I'll do a write up on it when it comes in.
