Does a CQB safe Co2 NBB exist?

Postby The Grand Baboon » Sat Mar 30, 2013 6:40 pm

Objective: To find a Co2 NBB that is CQB safe (350 or below)

Why a Co2 NBB? I want something with very little mechanical noise and something that I could mount a suppressor too. Also, something that would function better in cooler weather (as opposed to propane). Think sentry removal at two day milsim scenario game.

Right now, I'm looking at a KJW Ruger MK2 to modify for such a purpose. It'd end up looking like a Vietnam era Hush Puppy. I was going to chop and re-crown the barrel to a shorter length to reduce the velocity and I'd do an R-hop to maintain the accuracy, although I wouldn't need it for ranges beyond 75ft anyway.

If there exists something that wouldn't take so much work, I'm all for it (even it if it doesn't have a threaded barrel).

You could get a pistol with a threaded barrel and use a velocity reducer.

Isn't that a GBB? I'm looking for a NBB.

Every KJW Mk2 I've seen shoots stupid high FPSes. I'd look for a Y&K or TM Mk23 (the included can makes them super-ninja-fart-quiet). They don't meet your criteria of CO2, but if you only want to get a couple shots off to kill a sentry, the weather won't affect the performance.

Many of the entry level Umarex guns, such as the Combat Enforcer that Airsoft Outlet has are CQB legal.
