KWA O-Ring on Kriss

I've been using my KWA Kris's Vector quite a bit lately, and a$$ soon as I ran out of gas and KWA's warranty, I bought a Madbull Propane adapter. One to two mags in with the adapter my only magazine's O-ring fell out and now it's tough to fill the mag without it hissing, so my question is, did the metal tip of the propane adapter cause the o-ring to fall out, or was it because I have been using it a lot? Or any other reason? And also, how can I prevent this from happening in the future?

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.
