MARSOC, MFR, STA, MEU Loadouts

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

I dont know how much conventional side SAPIs weigh..but MSAP (6x6) weigh 1 lb each. They dont feel like a lot, but for some reason that extra 2lbs actually is quite noticeable.

I think a lot of it has to do with how they ride - SAPIs dont seem to affect it too much, but the weight is distributed far better with them.

back in the day, we didn't wear vests, helmets, just our gear and the gear was issued but we had leeway in how to wear it, and could use other personal gear. a lot of us used the old vietnam buttpacks and ammo pouches. the nam era pouches were used as accessory pouches. we thought we were high speed with maglights taped to the M16A2's!! DA and HRT had a little more leeway with the Mp5's. Drop leg was all made in-house by the riggers.

I'm thinking I might acquire a replica MBSS and then an RRV if I feel I need more space. I already have the CIRAS and a bunch of CB pouches. Probably a MAP pack too. I'm really impressed by the range of gear MARSOC uses, it seems to cover almost any situation.

I've never seen a handguard like that before. Anyone know anything about it?

I thought the same thing. It could be an RIS with covers, but I could be wrong.

So I'm going to ask what will probably be a small number of dumb questions, because I'm not a gear queer. But, I'm working on a MFR loadout and figure I should probably work on getting close, if not accurate.

Okay, so, my first question: how common is the FAPC, and is it Gen I or Gen II?

Second question: is the Flyye Force Recon Vest (Land) a replica of the CIRAS that seems to be more popular?

I've seen the FAPC more in use by SOTG than any other SF group, but I'm sure there are those that use it.

As to the second one yes, but the marine (MAR) one is more accurate.

Is it just me or is that dude's shirt more tan while his pants are more green?

It's most likely just a shadow from something, but it could be a brandy spiffy top with a worn bottom or the other way around.

Re reading your post and realizing I messed up: the nature of digital patterns is that they are random shapes and sizes, This guy just happened to get a green heavy set of pants. No two items will have the same exact pattern.
