It makes sense to put blood type & flag patches on the sleeves.
But really bad taste to put blackwater on one sleeve, then HK on the other :( plus HK broke the contract w/Xe while back..
I have seen people wearing that shxt.

Way to answer the first question that was asked in August, Mars. :P

Also, because of their properties.

A softshell is loosely defined as a garment that offers a high degree of weather protection and durability while maintaining excellent breathability and luxurious comfort. A difficult mix, for sure. The combination of these key performance attributes gives softshells a broad utility range in terms of both activity and environment. Their stretch can handle the most contorted figure-four or hip-hop dance move, and they make layering easier thanks to their breathable nature. (Don’t expect your typical waterproof/breathable shell to perform half these functions.)

To my knowledge, we called it all ecwcs, though you're probably right.

We usually rolled out in a lightweight set of polypro long Johns and the gortex parka + pants.

I own a TAD and a Beyond Tactical. The TAD is a nice jacket and I especially like the pocket layout they have. The Beyond Tactical is mega expensive but it is without a doubt the finest jacket I have ever worn in every aspect other than the pocket layout, which is beat only by the TAD. It is worth every penny.

Speaking of which, does anyone have any experience with their softshelland their Micro Fleece jackets. I need to pick up some warmer jackets that fit a bit loose on me, so I was going to order one of in each in Large. Wondering if the $130 investment is worth it, or should I look elsewhere?

Specifically, I need to know how durable they are, and what realistic weather conditions they can keep you warm at. I work outside, and it can get down to 0*F, and bulking up isn't much of an option when I need to be flexible. Also, about how large are the velcro spots on the arm?

My micro fleece got stolen pretty immediately from my school but while i had it it was my cold weather thing and i loved it. They keep you very warm especially if you layer properly, and its not restricting at all. Velcro on the arm is 3x5.

Hows the flexibility? Because its damned near impossible to execute a proper chokehold while wearing a sweater and pea-coat.
