CREE bulb/driver question

CREE bulb/driver question

I have a G2 with an incandescent bulb, and I am ordering a CREE LED bulb and driver for it. The driver includes strobe function, but I have seen strobe end caps for flashlights. Do I need both, or will the driver do just fine but there will be an off between each mode?

The driver will do by it self.

I don't quite understand your second question. You would switch between modes by a quick power down power up. Is that what you are asking?

EDIT: Where do you plan on ordering from?

Ebay.

It was all part of one question, I was just verifying that if I didn't need a strobe switch that it would just turn off then on for the next mode.

That is how it works. Tail caps are cool too, but you don't need both. Personally I prefer the driver...
