US ARMY RANGER IMPRESSION KIT BY AP MEMBERS (MIL-SIM)

US ARMY RANGER IMPRESSION KIT BY AP MEMBERS (MIL-SIM)

Postby Unconventional » Mon Jul 18, 2011 12:13 pm

This ONE BASIC GEAR KIT FOR A modern, 2010 and up, US ARMY RANGER IMPRESSION post coincides with the "ONE BASIC GEAR KIT FOR MULTIPLE MODERN SOF IMPRESSIONS" post that was the first part of the series of SOF's kit threads that I'd like to continue with. Please keep in mind...this is not a post to place pictures of actual SOF members..etc on...these posts are for anyone who is an AP member or guest of AP who wishes to demonstrate (via their own photos with kit on..etc) or provide info that will assist others who are serious about doing an accurate impression and who also want to learn and train to the best of their knowledge, about how to operate accurately with a MIL-SIM based air-soft team..etc. The end result should be that we have 4 quadrant photos of the impression by members or a member of the AP site, along with the most up to date (2011 and up)detailed kit list for all to use as a guideline.

This post is not for myself or for my son. We already have "real deal" gear kit put together for 3 SOF's impressions...for the most part, although not perfect...lol! This topic thread is for those out there who want to acquire an accurate/semi-accurate, "real deal" kit/load-out to be used for a US Army Ranger impression.

I'd like to see both, "greenside" and "blackside"US Army Ranger impression kit/load-outs, if possible. This US Army Ranger load-out impression can be SAW gunner, rifleman, medic..etc..whatever or multi-role if this particular unit has any or all of these positions.

After we get a solid, full-on consensus over a period of time, I'll put up a generally agreed upon kit list right here for the "US Army Ranger impression kit". Remember...this is for a US Army Ranger impression kit, not standard military, PMC or other impressions. AND...this is just for the main kit items, not necessarily what you're going to attach to your kit.

Let's keep this post limited to the following basic items, starting from head to toe:

Switchback, the point of this series I think is to list what they actually use, not what we personally use. ;)

Currently I'm running a full RG setup (I prefer it more), but as soon as I get back home I'll put all the stuff back on the MJK MBAV for pics.

RG.

Anyway, I mentioned that I was running a full RG setup due to my opinion that full RG looks better (without a helmet cover), so I'll post pics of both, older setup and current gen setups.

Full RG (yes the tree cover is hideous :P ):

MJK MBAV (w/o helmet cover):

I only just recently got the RLCS MBITR pouch, that's why it isn't in the older pics.

It was never clearly posted, everything he did post led me to believe it was authentic. Plus, who sells Crye-style Multicam helmet covers in a "surplus store"?

Hey..it happens sometimes. I rarely get the wrong stuff but sometimes it happens. No biggie...just makes us more aware every time we shop in the future.

BTW...great photos and gear set-up...Nice!

Back on topic.

Nice job as usual Snowman. Nasty..do you have pics or info to contribute, yet? Anxious to see what you've got for the multiple impressions kit post or others. So is that it guys? Think we can move onto the next kit? Or do we want to roll this one a bit longer to see if others have input? I'd like to get at least two people to contribute with their photos on each of the SOF impressions kit posts so that we stay a little open for everyone to participate. There's gotta be more peeps doing impressions that can contribute...or is there?....lol!

"AFSOC/SEAL kit."

I'm trying to do that one as well...can't get the time to finish it...seems like what they say is true about running your own small business....all the time goes into that and nothing else..lol!
