Shoulder pads

Postby JoKeR1147 » Thu May 10, 2012 9:41 pm

I have an EPC but I have noticed the shoulder straps have started chafing against my shoulders and leaving some nasty friction burns. Anyone know if there is a clear advantage with the EI CIRAS shoulder pads or HSGI shoulder pads? Would either work with the EPC? Im probably gonna get the ciras should pads since they look like they should go on an EPC quite simply but I was wondering if anyone else had experience with this since I know EPCs are a fairly common and popular vest.

Everyone I know who has had an Eagle PC, used some after market pads and loved them. I want to say HSGI, but I'm probably way wrong. Hopefully JewishNinja will chime in on what he had.

I run First Spear pads on mine and love them. Not too badly priced too.

I used HSGI pads on my EPC for the longest time. I switched to the First Spear ones since I wanted to give them a try. IMHO, they aren't worth the price they are asking for them. The HSGI pads are about half as much, and are more comfy in my opinion.
I've never used the CIRAS or MSAP pads, though I have handled them. They are quite stiff and no where near as comfy as the above two.

I use HSGI pads for my EPC. I like em, but have no grounds for comparison.

Best shoulder pads evar

http://www.triadtactical.com/Armor-Carrier-Shoulder-Pad-Comfort.html

Why? Because they have very soft padding in them (some sort of foam) and they also have commo/camelbak tubes elastic that allow you to run them with out doing shit to your PC.

Shoulder pads made of old tires = best pads.

FirstSpear pads look exactly like Eagle DPC shoulder pads. FirstSpear was started up by a bunch of Eagle's old designers who grew disinterested and left.
