SERPA for Rangerish loadout

Postby JoKeR1147 » Sat Jun 02, 2012 1:07 pm

I'm wondering if I should get a black or tan serpa for my suedo-ranger loadout. I know they do make some FG SERPAs but none for the USP compact, so in any event would you guys recommend tan or black? P.S. I rock a range impression based on some of the loadouts seen in 08-09 where they still wore PCU tops with ACU pants, if I wore multicam at all I would get tan no question, but alas I do not so please keep that in mind.

Cool thanks. I'm aware that they do not use USPS, that's why I am always cautious in calling it a ranger loadout, its defiantly inspired by some of the loadouts used by rangers but in no way am I trying to match the kit 1:1.

Rangers don't really carry sidearms, and if they do, it'll be the M9.

I wouldn't bother carrying a sidearm if you wanna call it a ragnar impression.

M9 Beretta & Glock23
(Most choose not to carry a side arm because of the extra weight unless they've got an open-bolt weapon, Gus, or they're a sniper)

I'm sure there are a few rangers out there who use the USPS... Actually, I'd bet all the rangers have used it at one time.

Details ;)

Well I mean the specific items in the RLCS change often enough that I really find it both pointless and hazardous to my bank account to try and keep up with it tit for tat. Additionally, there often exists better gear then what is issued to rangers, for example in some cases the RLCS kit includes EI CIRAS shoulder pads to be used with the EPC/MBAV, after asking this board for help I bought both the EI CIRAS Shoulder pads and the First spear shoulder pads and greatly prefer the First spear ones. I think when it all comes down to it though, I just really don't have the money to buy each and every thing I see in a Ranger pic; I have to pay for my college tuition, my car, my health insurance, my rent, and right now I'm building my first AR15 so I cant afford to drop 50 dollars left and right on pouches that I may or may not ever get to field. Plus, I'm not, nor will I ever be an actual army ranger, so to mimic them perfectly seems kinda odd. I still think they look cool though, so when I can I try to steal little bits of their loadout that I like. So as previously mentioned I run a PCU with a EPC and a few other things that are similar to what rangers wear.
