Real Steel to Real Airsoft?

Postby Spitfire » Wed Jun 27, 2012 10:02 pm

Now.... I've been on my quest for quite a while to find some parts/kits/ideas to convert a black CYMA AK-47 to a sexy Khaki/Black. Like my other posts, I considered using a Krylon paint to custom-paint my AK47 into grand epicness.

Until I stumbled upon this....

After doing some research, I learned that the package is meant for real steel *sigh*......
My question is, would it work with a CYMA AK47 anyway because airsoft guns are supposed to be 1:1 replicas?

I was thinking this gun:

Mostly because the fine print says it needs a folding stock in order to work.
Help for a nooby please? Greatly appreciated.

My best guess would be no looking at the stock. But don't take my word for it. research it some more.

Sad day. I wish they'd make more tan AK conversion kits. I like having a unique looking gun!

Real Sword is the only 1:1 AK airsoft gun. Even then, that stock set would have to be modified to fit it.

what's wrong with just buying the gun that already has all the things on it? like this:
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=4083

also there are airsoft conversion kits for AKs you can find online like this which has the hand guard and pistol grip http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?c ... s_id=28944
http://www.evike.com/index.php?cPath=25_86_262

(and an AK with RIS on it will never be epic)

I kinda want a 9.6v 2000 mah battery though, so I think I'd buy a full-stock version then get some Tan Krylon for the furniture. That and a tactical grip.

Thanks guys! :)
