Just a quick question on colors

I'm working on a new ACU based load-out, built mostly for CQB/hardcore rushing.

I already have some great boots/Standard issue ACU pants/Standard issue ACU patrol hat/wide view grey goggles/a really lightweight comfy black shirt, so the basis to my load-out is complete.

With this load-out, what four of these colors would look best with what I have?

(From left to right, Foliage Green, Desert Tan, Olive Drab, Black)

I'm kind of leaning towards tan, but I haven't messed around with too many load-outs structured with ACU, so what is your guys opinion?

Foliage green, or Ranger Green, as it's commonly referred to, is probably the closest match to UCP you're going to get.

Note, that Magpul Foliage Green is not really close to Ranger Green. It's more of a Sage Green.

All colors are not made equal.

Foliage Green is not the same as Ranger Green. That's why they look different.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with color coordination, but please be aware that the vest's integrated pouches you linked to may not hold your AEG's mags easily as G36 mags are bulky and have those locking tabs.

If anybody here has first hand accounts otherwise, please speak up. Otherwise, you may need to look for magazine pouches or get an M4 magwell adapter for your G36.

One step ahead of you. I already have a magwell conversion kit in my cart, but I believe the pouches on that vest fit two M4 mags each, and therefor they should fit one G36 mag hopefully.

Also, I wasn't aiming at matching colors, I was more aiming for what looks good with each other, I understand the foliage green on the gun that I'm getting doesn't even close to match the foliage green in those snipers veils. If I have to I might just get black to be safe off, but I'd much rather have a lighter color, and I think the tan might look good.

I personally find UCP + tan gear to be the cutest combination you're going to get with UCP.

black never really goes well with any camo except for maybe marpat and M81s, if you want to be safe at least go with tan or OD

Web gear, think Vietnam GI stuff. It's cheap, abundant, and light.

If it's gotta be MOLLE, go CB or RG.

But certainly, a +1 to that ALICE idea. If you like the Modular in MOLLE, but still digging the ALICE-ish look, then look up "battle belt" and "H-Harness" and other things like that. I'm sure somebody has pictures of their personal Level 2/second tier setup?

My personal favorites and also in somewhat common use to this day is the CSV-M10 20 MAG VEST. Holds about 20 magazines and should work for you

Also there is the tried and true Tactical Vest Enchanced which is also tried and true. Its lightweight, low profile, hold enough magazines and is customizable to your figure. Also it is CHEAP and commonly found at surplus stores. It uses MOLLE and some use ALICE clips. You can't go wrong with this.

Both of these vests one thing that is awesome! NO VELCRO!!! It uses the old style clips which are quiet and secure no matter what you do. These are great for a CAG impression or SAS.
