Group Order from Crye Precision, M/84 Pattern AC Combats

Postby Snowman » Wed Aug 15, 2012 8:50 pm

I sent an email to Crye's sales department the other day inquiring as to the possibility of making a custom order of M84 (read, NOT M81) Army Custom/G2 combat uniforms. Today I received a response from the new Beth (not Bethany, seems she died, or something) saying that she needed the following information to send to the production team to get an answer:

1. Style/Styles
2. Quantity
3. Pattern

Now, I realize that there was a group order going down on another couple boards that died because the originator didn't keep up communication, but I full well intend to get my hands on some M84 somehow, so this is worth a shot.

***What I'd like is to get people who are interested in a set (pants, shirts, or both) to send me a PM or post here in this thread, and I'll add their names to a list which I will post
here (screen names ok for now) and keep updated.***

I will post screencaps of ALL online communication I have with Crye. But again, for now, I'm simply looking for interest to give Beth a number to give to the production team. I gave her an estimate today of at least 25-40 pieces, but if we get more interest, I'll ask about more.

Pricing-
Right now, previous orders have said that it would be standard pricing for the fatigues. Beth has not said anything about pricing yet, I think we're waiting for the production team to come back with a firm yes or no on the feasibility of this order, first.

Standard AC Combat Pricing
AC Combat Shirt - $145USD (plus shipping)
AC Combat Pants - $179USD (plus shipping)

This is what I'm talking about (left bottoms, right top):

Here's the link to the list and info thread (Gearsoc, so you'll need to create an account if you don't already have one):

You can post here or PM me here, and I'll add your name to the list on Gearsoc if you don't want to make a new account.

I just boweled myself. I could kiss you.

Keep me up to date on what's happening with this. Could you also ask about the possibility of getting T99 or M01 desert variant?

If this has any chance of working, I'm game. But I doubt it will...

Same here. When would this order be placed?

Since this would be a custom order, they will probably take their time making it.

Right now, we're waiting for the production team to declare this a go or no-go, which could take anywhere from a few days up to a couple months. Operating on the assumption that this gets a green light, production time will probably take from between two weeks up to two months, it all depends on Crye at that point.

Prices posted.

Android, Ninja, can I put you guys down on the list as interested?

I'd be interested in a set.

1+ on the Desert T99.

It's been in my head, but I might as well jump on these, depending on how things work out.

I'm actually a bit more interested in the Frogmen.

I should also mention for the OP that the official designation for the most current variant of the arid pattern is M/01. T99 is a slightly older version released in 1999 for use by peacekeepers in Ethiopia , M/01 is an improved version released in 2001 for use by troops in Operation Enduring Freedom, both are manufactured and issued in relatively small quantities and only for active duty troops headed to Afghanistan. All other troops wear the more common M84 all the rest of the time. BDUs in either variant are completely unavailable on the civilian market, both here, in Europe, and even in Denmark itself (yes I have looked, others have corroborated this fact as well). If we could get some in with the order, we would literally be the only airsoft/reenactment community on the planet with M/01. In fact, this would likely be some of the only M/01 on the civilian market period, HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?!

I might also mention to folks considering jumping in on this that Denmark will be replacing both the M84 and M/01 patterns with Multicam by 2013 across all branches. We may expect to see an influx of surplus Danish pattern gear on the market over the course of the next couple of years.

STRIK3:

Sorry to say, but you're not the only team on the planet which uses the M/01 ;)
Our team is also using it as well as another danish team.

Our website: www.soe-airsoft.dk

And you can easily buy M/01 jackets/trousers :)

TACGEAR and SABRE (out of production) makes them.

If you guys need any information on danish units, don't hesitate to ask me ;)
We are doing an impression of the danish Jaegerkorps.

Best regards

But you guys are Danish. So that's kinda like a US Team using UCP. Since you're located in Denmark I would think that the surplus stores have more then enough in terms of Danish camo patterns just like the US Surplus stores, which always seem to have way too much UCP to get rid of it all. ;) Just saying there's a difference in the markets depending on which country you live in. :)

You're absolutely right. That was my key point.. That it's not hard to get, you can just go buy it from a online Danish surplus dealer ;)

There is only 1 surplus dealer in DK = http://www.417.dk
And most of their gear is the old stuff.

Then there is a german dealer: http://www.stephan.de
Expensive shit, but you can get issued m/01 desert.

If you want m/01 desert or m/84 desert you should buy from www.inf-wear.dk
http://www.shop.inf-wear.dk/default.php?cPath=22_297
Run it through google translator to see the website in english :)
