Crye G3's or AC's

Postby icebullet » Tue Oct 09, 2012 10:36 pm

Hey guys,

Looking for those of you who have used both the Crye AC and the G3's.

I know Crye is top notch, but are there any real differences between the two, say, fit or comfort, besides the integrated joint pads or the color of the inside bit of the top shirt? Also, do they run small, large, etc.?

I personally like the AC's more than anything, based on looks, but I've never been close enough to a real one to accurately judge it.

Call the surgeons and tell them to take the day off, because I'll be doing all the operating now.

Crye is overpriced for what we use it for. As in, we don't need that quality of product. We're not wearing it everyday.

That is what I bet every person that claims it's overpriced means.

We believe there's no reason to pay $300+ for a pair of pants we wear 2-3 times a month.

It depedents on preferences, I own a set of AC's and although I hate the shirt, I love the pants, very good quality.

Read this for direct comparisons. This guy is pretty thorough and a ton of great info.

I have the AC, and like Welshy said, it is well worth the mula... I have the G3 pants on order.
I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon

Thanks guys, probably will go with the ACs.

Does anyone know if the Woodlands or DCUs are special order, for Mil/LE agencies, or can a average joe buy them by shooting an email to Crye?

Any pattern other than what you see on their website is custom order, which requires a minimum now of around 30-35 sets. The reason our M84 order fell through is because we have no source on M84 fabric that would work for Crye.

Oh no, I just want some Multicam, but I was wondering if they were available.
