CPCs are great, its the CAGE that sucks, imo. Two different things.

JPCs are still in prevalent use, mostly because its $500 cheaper than the CPC. MARSOC, SF, AFSOC, SEALs, theyre all using it heavily.

Wait, I thought the CPC was the "Cage Plate Carrier", thats what it says on Crye's website. This is what Im looking at: http://www.cryeprecision.com/P-CPCD0102 ... -%28cpc%29

Money isn't an issue, I just want the plate carrier that will be most accurate for a ACE or SF loadout that will still be around for a year or two.

This is the one everyone is complaining about:
http://www.cryeprecision.com/P-ARMC4902 ... s%e2%84%a2

CPC is cool. It just costs money. The new thing for warfighters is how to be light as possible, have armor that protects vitals, and carry only what you need. We are learning that the more shit you strap to your a$$, the more there is to snag on anything and everything. It's kina like minimalist backpacking. Take only what you need and trim off every ounce of weight possible. Once you go light weight and then transfer back to a full load kit, you realize how much you love anything that is lighter.

I am surprised it took them this long to realize this. Stupid US fighting style that basically means we wouldn't survive without air support against goat farmers is an issue to me.

Individual soldiers are walking mules. Swiss Army knives with 100 pounds of shit they don't need in a backpack, and 50 pounds of shit they could need on their chest. Then another 50 pounds of Armor, some shitty fire resistant fabric covering everybody so they become heat casualties, and then we are expected to run up and down hills against a force that sends guys out with a knapsack with a few meals in it and a vest with a few mags in it.

When we start doing Jungle stuff again, it's going to get real ugly.

I should note that I find no issue with saying this while at the same time bashing people that use minimalist rigs because they don't have all the stuff ODAs use.

I don't care. I'm a hater.

In a funny way, we were doing the same thing in the first few months of the war when Delta & Co. were tear-assing through Tora Bora wearing bugger-all and a SOPMOD tucked under their Kameez.

Quick question, aside from the MJK MBAV and BAE eclipse, are there any other tan or khaki PCs being used by SF, ACE, or CCTs?

LBT 6094 in Coyote Tan is still in use with CCTs. Aside from that, no, not really.

Gear patterns have done the same thing. first it was all about OD/Ranger Green. Then it was all about coyote brown, then to green again. Then to multi-cam, now AOR whatever the trend is and coyote brown/MJK again. Hell the SEALs for some reason feel that all their gear has to match every different pattern uniform they wear. Not exactly cost effective.
