So I have a impression question and figured I would ask here rather then make another thread.

I currently have a RG RRV. Any Impression other then Ranger use the RRV? would or wouldn't need soft armor under it for an impression?

Welshy McSheeplove wrote:Basically just Rangers used them, and they're not using them anymore. They were used over soft armor with the back panels and MSAP cummerbund kits prior to the introduction of the MBAV.

However, Ranger DMs have used them on their own for recce kits with no armor.

Keep in mind, you don't always have to do the most current and modern impression. There's something to be said about a kit that's accurate from a certain time frame. SEAL kits from 2004-2006 (might be a different time frame, I'm too lazy to get an accurate range)where it was all black buckles, CIRASs, and PEQ2s get me all moist....

Okay You guys rock 8)

So i have my own little squad and this is the replicas they use:

ASR
M14
G36C

Would my kit be the same as them, or do SF kits have different loadouts depending on combat roles?

Dang..... Which would work for a US SOF kit?

Would those other replicas have designated kits?

The M14 could work.

You could get the EBR body kit and do a lot of modern infantry impressions. I used the straight M14 with wood stock in 2004-2005 in Afghanistan, with an ACOG on top and a Harris bipod on it.

SFLCS kit is the cheapest real gear on the market, even cheaper than the repros often times because of shipping prices. I had some SFLCS I couldn't even give away at one point.
