New ATACS pattern

Postby laggard » Tue Feb 26, 2013 5:32 pm

I was browsing around the internet and I happened to stumble across this, ATACS LE pattern. Kinda reminds me of the NWU type 1 in color scheme. I also found some article that I cannot vouch for authenticity, but I kinda hope so, rumors of this pattern becoming the USCG boarding team pattern.

The pattern.

Anybody else find this? What are your guys's thoughts on this possible becoming a US issued uniform pattern? Something tells me there are few other uses for this camo other than night ops or urban ops.

I'd say it's cool looking, but ultimately I can't see how useful it would be. Seems so blue, that I can't think of a good place that this would work.

It looks very much like the urban Kamysh (blue tigr/tiger) Russian pattern:

It would appeal more toward law enforcement and federal agencies. Its pretty badass looking.

It would definitely be a novelty pattern as far as concealment. Other than the occasional few night ops around here with the local kids
