Is it me or does the guy on the right look like he's carrying a proton pack?

So the Military (Army) does use multicam. I guess it's still not "milsim" enough for other players. ;)

Might be a plasma cutter? Looks like he has a lock cutter on his back as well.

Or the Afgahni ghost problem is bigger than the media lets on o.O

Whenever I try to save those pictures they end up being really wide and only like half an inch tall and very distorted. Am I doing something wrong?

Rangers arent "testing" it; they are just living by SOCOM rules. Multicam is standard issue within SOCOM units deploying now.

FWIW, that MAP pack isnt made by EI either ;)

I believe it is made by Allied Industries/Lighthouse for the Blind.

All of the RLCS/SFLCS kits are a combo of EI and AI kit. The AI kit is literally made by blind people, and it shows. Off the top of my head; MBITR, shingles, and MAP are all AI.

If you have ever checked out Isaacs RLCS kit...the shingles are made by AI and they are bleeding garbage..the stitching is horrible.

That being said, the EI and AI MAP packs are virtually identical. The differences between the two amount to different shades of ranger green, different edge tape used, and the AI has those fancy schmancy zipper pulls.

Fancy schmancy= shock cord run through the zippers?

I only saw Isaac's rare a$$ PC once and didn't really pay attention to pouch quality, just that it was tiny. I'm guessing AI=TRC? I've seen their FB pouches popping up everywhere, and when I did a bit of digging, saw they were made by the blind as well. They seem to be rather well made, if not a very simple design and in an older camo scheme (tri color).

Yeah, AI is part of TRC.

And you can kind of see the zipper pulls here: http://www.specwargear.com/update101407/MLCS-P-1.JPG

Gotcha. So it'd be more accurate to say the one the Variable asked about was the AI one,
and this one

is the EI one right?

Its possible...I doubt it though. Not all of them have the zipper pulls, and even then they might have been cut off.
