It is hard to explain - but I meant that the Eagle ones open from the side (so are those longer - vertical), and the Blackhawk open from the top (so wider).

Yeah, I saw him on Gearsoc, but I thought the general consensus was that he was a grunt embedded in the unit, as he isn't wearing a RG PC. Which is highly suggestive that he is just embedded.

Well, I seriously doubt he's just a grunt. It's possible that he's a Combat controler or even SF, but I've yet to hear anyone say 100% what he is. We've seen in the past Rangers not wearing propper Ranger vests. While it may not be SOP, it is possible. Remember, somtimes the gear queers get lost in "what's correct" and forget about "what's necessary".

He is probably a JTAC, notice the MBITR amplifier he is wearing.
