Real Steel AK wood conversion - The aftermath

Postby Cap n pickles » Thu Mar 11, 2010 4:23 pm

Hey AP, Its pickles.

So i bought some Real Steel AIM wood furniture for 7.99 (plus shipping) http://www.centerfiresystems.com/stkaka12.aspx

Everything came in great, and they had good customer service.

So here's the pics! 3 1/2 Hours of drilling and chiseling the crap out of it (this was all done by hand, Except with the drill). I enjoyed working on this, and now i have a sturdy and very real looking AIM!

Pickles, you're making parts of my body that I like to ignore, tingle in funny ways. Pardon me while I drool.

Looks pretty sick man! 8)
Can't believe you picked up the bits for such a good price...i would've guessed you spent a lot more.

This.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

No offense to the wood kit, it's AK goodness at its best, but i think about 50% of your AEGs sexy factor is the worn & scratched metal body.

Nice job Pickles, looks like your 3 1/2 hours paid off nicely.

Wow. One of the best AK's I've seen externally. Does the stock hold a battery? Or do you just use a stick type in the receiver?
