My custom camo project

Postby Dr. Starch » Fri Jul 30, 2010 6:30 pm

Note: I do not plan on painting a replica with this pattern. I am hoping to be able to put it on a shield or BDUs or something like that.

So, I love custom camo / custom load. I've been working on this custom camo for about 2 weeks now. I call it GCP1737F-T02 (we'll address that later.).

Anyway, this is what I have they are link to the picture. I'm working on one or two other layers also.

I don't really have a name or a plan as to what colors to use yet.

I'd like to hear peoples feedback. Also, if someone has done something like this before, what were your methods? any advice? I was planning to use spray paint as its the easiest way I have thought of to apply the pattern.

yes, but flecktarn is rounded like that. It looks like clustered shapes like digital, but the shapes are round like flecktarn.
Please, I insist.

:o
well, its hard to draw digital camo. I was trying to design a camo with as little influence from others as possible. However, I was trying for a dot pattern.

No you have the right Idea Brush and Dot camo's tend to really hit the spot. Flecktarn/Wustarn and Eichentarn really do well. That Danish pattern is also very appealing.

That is actually closer to the colors that I was wanting to use. Perhaps darker brown though.

:o same here. I've been thinking of putting my camo pattern onto a shield or gun. It is become apparent how hard getting the pattern onto BDUs will be.
