Echo 1 MP5 Take down

Postby Bic 101 » Sat Mar 12, 2011 6:01 pm

I am taking apart my Echo 1 MP5 and am using this video:

I have gotten to the point where the selector switch is taken out, but I am unable to separate the lower from the body of the gun. The left side selector switch broke off and there is a piece left that seems to be the part that actually changes the fire type. It is stopping the low sliding off. How should I deal with this? Should I pull this little piece off?

Thanks for the help.

Sorry I don't have any pictures.
This is my rifle.
There are many like it, but this one is mine.
It is my life.

You have to unscrew the little screw on the top of the selector, then slide it out one side in order to separate the lower from the upper. Or at least, that's what I think you have to do, It's been a while since I've taken down my MP5.
