Gearbox clicking.

Postby glockmeister » Sun Jun 05, 2011 6:21 pm

To Jesters request: I shoot my tokyo marui mp5 a5 and about the same time as I pull my trigger the gearbox makes a quiet but audible "click". I am using an intellect 9.6 1600 mah battery that works very nicely and is fully charged. I think my gears are jammed but I am not 100% sure. Would anyone know why my gun is doing this? If so may you please post how to fix this problem or what could be causing the problem. I have replaced everything in the gun except for the cylinder head. The gears are classic army. The spring is matrix the piston and piston head are guarder and the tappet plate is guarder. After I installed it this started to happen.

It's probably just locked up. Throw an 11.1v lypo and fire a burst in auto and see if it unlocks, if not you will need to trip the anti-reversal latch inside the gearbox.

Ah thank you. I checked the gearbox and my piston isn't even cocked back. I don't think my motor can handle the spring I have in there.
