This is not my build, something I found on youtube; thought the community would find this interesting. It fires nerf footballs. If only it used the 203 grenade shells that would be pretty cool.

Perhaps it would be good for a sector control game, or a attack-defend scenario.

I think it could have some use in milsim events. Although I think it would need a better projectile then pocket vortex as they don't have great accuracy at longer ranges(if my information is correct. I have only seen a handful fired).

It's pretty cool, but serves no practical purpose in airsoft.
In Large games I think it would be very usefull, you would be using as a support by fire system, in defensive positions, and mounted on a technical or "tank". I would not be running around tacoma tactical with it lol.

That's awesome even if it isn't the most practical

Quigly, they are actually pretty accurate out to 400+ feet WITHOUT wind, you get any wind at all, and after the first 75 feet they are tumbling and lose direction and speed. EDIT: something useful to the thread. The thing would only be efficient if you had a loader of some kind to put nerf vortex's down the barrel at the ROF of the grenades.

I remember hearing about something similar while listening to an old OPSEC episode (Rest in peace, you alcohol-fueled manfest). They pretty much said the same things: Impractical in most games, cool as hell, expensive, and would probably only work best if mounted on a vehicle.

Thats because people need something to complain about... Like when people wanted to put water in their mines. "I don't want to get wet" or baby powder. "Ill be so mad if I get baby powder on my nicely pressed BDUs"...

With the real steel the system it is operated using 3 men on foot. you have a gunner, team leader, and ammo man. Gunner carries the mk 19 and fires it. The team leader carries the tripod and t&e and directs fire. The ammo man carries extra ammo and provides security for the team. Everyone seems to be stuck in the tactics of CQB. What I’m talking about using it in is large scale scenario games were you’re in large groups consisting of an assault element and support element at the minimum. It also gives the milsim aspect a wow factor.

or vehicle mounted, which is preferred in my fantasy of having one and shooting it at games

I'd rather get hit in the head with a nerf football than a bolt action. But that's just me. :|
