Master Key attachment?!

Postby Chowdberg » Tue Sep 25, 2012 12:53 pm

Ladies and Gentlemen.
A friend of mine recently broke the stock of his tri-shot pump action shotgun (I forget the brand. UTG, Double Eagle? Can't remember at the moment) and decided to let it sit around.
Noticing this, I've decided to tinker around with it, and I plan on turning it into a Master Key attachment for an under barrel rail system.
I'm curious if anyone else has attempted this venture, and would love to hear feedback.

Pictures will follow!
I'd tell you to be careful. It's not the Tank you need to fear.
It's Slumberman

I attempted the same thing with my tri shot when i broke the stock off, it looks cool, but is really annoying in the end. Since it sticks out way past the end of my m4 barrel.
I can't outrun the bullet. So I might as well stay to face it.

JB weld is our friend in these endeavors.

Just buy some cheap scope rings, chop them, and use the rail mounts on the top of the shotgun after doing some finishes on the pistol grip area.

I think KA-BAR did it, and there are pictures lurking around Custom projects.

yea i did this in a project along with alex pearson. we used some old scope rings. we took off half of the ring leaving a portion with the RIS attachment and a half ring. we then used JB weld and welded the half ring down into certain spots. now it attaches to a lower RIS rail just like a optic would. i used a UTG single shot to do this back then....now i also have a broken TM that is waiting for just such a venture.

G&P makes a conversion kit for an Maurzen 870. However, the kit is like $180 and then the shotgun is another $120-$200. However, it looks pretty legit once complete(except for the extended mag)

I mounted a rail to the top and that rail fit perfectly into the rail system of my M4 with a well place screws it was very sturdy

Joe on Fragistan has his old trishot mounted below his SIG 556. It works pretty well IMO, but it is kind of long.

I would be worried the shotty itself is too flimsy with the plastic body, but that's cool that it at least looks like it works.
