Hello from Maine!

Hello AP! I'm Spearhead (or Nick), I'm 15 and I've been playing airsoft for around 2 years (not including the good ol' springer days). I'm not exactly sure what the rules are here for members, I'm not sure whether this is a team forum or just a general forum like airsoftforum.com. Either way, I live in Maine and I'm currently part of an airsoft team called Spartan Assault. I'm the resident photographer. I made an account here because I'd really like to get more and more opinions on guns, gear, upgrades, my photography, etc. I've currently got an E1 Socom 16 with a Systema bucking and an SCS nub. I also cleaned, re-shimmed and re-greased the rifle as well. I'm currently in the process of buying some upgrades such as a Prommy 500mm 6.03 tightbore and some other misc. gearbox parts. I'm also custom building a Socom suppressor to fit over the extended 60mm or so of barrel that will be sticking out of my gun, as I can't find one anywhere. I've been custom building airsoft guns for about a year or so now, and I've had many custom guns go in and out of my collection (Which sadly, has depleted thanks to my boss being a douche and firing me.). My specialities are V2, V3, and V7 gearboxes. I also build "Gun Cam Mounts/Rigs", which can be made to the buyer's specifications. Price depends on materials used and labor. Anyway, I'm whoring myself out here in a way, so I should just stop typing. I hope I didn't bore you all with this extensively long Intro.

If you're familiar with that area you may know of a field called Harris Field in Dayton. Yeah. That's not our field. We have a field up in Monmouth called Mills Stream Airsoft Field, MSAF for short. We host games EVERY Sunday, whether it be rain, sleet, snow, sun, hailing the size of minivans, you name it, where as Harris shuts down for the Winter. We're a fairly large field. My camera has gotten more use than my AEG lately. Not like I mind very much. I LOVE photography. But with my limited funds, I can't afford much. My camera was a gift given to me by my father, who's never given me much. I think he finally realized that. I love connecting with other airsoft photographers, I need to learn how to improve my techniques.

I am also a photographer! But... more or less for airsoft. I love nature, long hikes on sunny days through my property always seams to turn out pictures filled with beauty and curiosity. Cute mushroom here... Odd picture of a ladybug perched precariously on a fine sample of Digitalis Purpurea there.... The works! haha

Oh, and on the note of limited funds, you COULD charge like... $5 for an epic actioney picture of someone, write down their email, and send it to them. Just an idea!

Believe me, I've wanted to try this for myself in the past, but I can't bring myself to do so... I don't know why. But I am charging for my photos. $1 for every photo, if it's a group photo, an extra 50 cents for every head in the photo, and an extra dollar for every 15 minutes of editing. But all the funds go to the field, seeing as we don't charge for admission for a day of play. We like to keep ourselves open and free of charge, but we still need to maintain the land as well!
