Live from Eugene

Postby UOdudebro » Sat Dec 08, 2012 5:24 am

hey there everyone. I'm new to this sport. Just gettin started out of Eugene. I'm lookin for some cats to ball with and a place to do it. Also, Any newbie info is appreciated. As I really have no idea what I'm doing and I have a small budget. I played paintball for a long time and then took a large break. I'm not entirely new to shooting, but I never played any scenario, only tournament ball.

Hello, and welcome to AP. I would say the most important thing to do in airsoft. Is wear your Eye protection, call your hits. Also good boots, and a way to carry your mags and ammo that fits you is a plus. And a full set of camo of your liking would be good aswell.

Welcome! One thing you'll love about Airsoft, much cheaper than paintball. Tournament ball experience can actually come in handy, a lot of lazy Airsofters don't move very fast.

Thx for the tips. I played paintball for a while so I'm pretty familiar with the safety stuff. and yea, it's way more expensive. I quit playn cuz I couldn't afford it. But I played front position so I'm pretty fast :-)

Welcome to AP and Eugene Airsoft. It's great to have new faces around. Some Lane county area players have organized around a Facebook located here:

Is my assumption that you are a university student as per what your username implies correct?
If so, how long have you been going to the University?
I'm a major chairsofter, sorry about that.

Yea, that's right. I'm a 5th year undergrad. This will be my 2nd year at UO, as I transferred in from LCC with my associates already. I still have this year and next left though

Welcome to AP!
If you're looking for players around Eugene you might try looking at the list of teams and see if what teams are close and if you can get in contact with them to play.
