Hello,
Moving to Portland OR in a few Weeks and wanted to see what the Airsoft Scene looks like out west. I have played with a few groups in the Northern Cali area before and enjoyed the level of Maturity and Respect they had as well as how pleasant they were.
Looking to find a new airsoft home.
About me:
I am an Honorably Discharged United States Marine (USMC 7011-EAF/Aircraft Recovery Specialist)
w/ several service connected disabilities (so quit your complaining cause I hurt every single day)
I am a Graphic Designer (10+ years exp)
AA in Information Technology with an emphasis in Multimedia
AA in Marketing Management
BBA in Marketing with an emphasis in Advertising (Know anyone hiring?)
About AIRSOFT:
I have been a part of several different teams all have their merits and flaws.
I am in favor of objective based missions and scenarios
(whereas who or how many kills does not matter as much as whether or not you just lost control of your comm tower because you left your boring guard post and just had to get some kills in)
I have planned and run a few Objective Based Scenarios which have been successful and fun
I am an honest player and I always call my hits (The best part of my time in Cali was the Gun hits count as a disabled weapon, I loved that aspect of the games I played in)
I will be the first to tell someone when they had a great shot or congratulate them on the use of tactic's to take me out.
I believe if you train hard, play hard and use team work you can overcome any obstacle on the field
I believe that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results
I disagree with the bang rule, but will play by whatever the rule of the field is.
(PAIN teaches us right from wrong, get shot up close and you won't make the same mistake again)
I think that camping is a legitimate strategy and use of stealth should be commended and not frowned upon.
I love getting up close and personal, there is no better feeling than evading the opponent and getting a knife kill and there should be a $20 KNIFE kill fee
(paid from the knifee to the knifer...)
I believe that a person's character defines them and I judge based as such
I believe in the Mil/Sim aspect of our sport and the immersion of combat and surroundings and i dislike modifications which break that immersion
I fully support Mid-cap/Low-cap games
(there is nothing more intense than having to reload in the middle of a fire fight)
Hope that sums me up. Feel free to ask any questions, I look forward to meeting you all.
